Yakima Accessories and Parts Review - 2010 Jeep Patriot

Today, on our 2010 Jeep Patriot, we're going to be testing the 38" Yakima Fairing designed for use on the crossbars. Its part number is Y07047. I've already removed one wingnut and carriage bolt from the left side. I'll show you here on the right side where I'm talking about and how to do it. Essentially, we're just going to loosen the wingnut up and push the carriage bolt out of that clamp. Remember, the rounded head portion is facing out of the top. This will be the way we reinstall it later. With those removed, we're simply going to place the Fairing up onto the roof line of the vehicle. more

Rate your transcript OrderClientKevin BrossRef #20497Order #TC0891082758 Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be installing our Tekonsha Prodigy P3 brake controller, part number 90195 with a direct fit wiring harness to connect directly to the manufacturer's brake controller port, part number 3045-P. Now, to begin the install of our new brake controller, on the driver side above the gas and brake pedal is a carpeted paneling that will need to be removed. To remove it, there are two push pin fasteners that will pry out that will release the carpeting, swing pull it out and set it aside for installation later. Next, above the emergency brake pedal, the white box is a grey plug. Grey plug will match the grey connector on the end of our new brake controller pigtail. We'll go ahead and put our grey plug on the pigtail into the grey socket on the manufacturer side. Now, once we push the connector into position and it locks in place, we'll go ahead and start the routing wires and securing it up underneath the dash. more

Yakima Fairing Review - 2014 Jeep Patriot

Today on our 2014 Jeep Patriot, we'll be test fitting the 38 inch Fairing for Yakima roof rack, part number Y07047. With our Yakima rail grab roof system already installed on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our Fairing directly in front of the front load bar. We'll remove the wing nut, take out the carriage bolt, and we'll bring a clamp around our front bar. We'll do this for the next one over as well. We'll replace our carriage bolt, and loosely attach our wing nut. Now we can move to the drivers side. We'll place the farthest clamp from us around our front load bar, remove the wing nut and the carriage bolt on the clamp closest to us, bring it around our front load bar, replace the carriage bolt, then the wing nut. We'll check to make sure we have our Fairing centered. Once we've got it centered, we'll tighten the wing nuts on the outside clamps, and that will complete today's test fit of the 38 inch Fairing for Yakima roof racks, part number Y07047 on our 2014 Jeep Patriot. more
